But where do you begin? Maybe you’re unsure how to start or doubt your ability to build genuine connections.
In this engaging presentation, Patrick Galvin draws on real-world business experience and lessons from his business parable, "The Conenctor's Way," to show how purposeful relationship building can transform your life and work. You’ll discover practical strategies to sharpen your relationship-building mindset, expand your skill set, and create meaningful connections both in person and online. Trust is your most valuable asset—personally and professionally. Building trust strengthens relationships, unlocks new opportunities, and lays the groundwork for lasting success. However, trust doesn’t happen by accident; it must be earned through actions that demonstrate your character and integrity.
Drawing on powerful insights from his popular business parable, "The Trusted Way," Patrick Galvin explores what it truly means to live and work ethically in a world that often challenges fairness and honesty. You’ll discover practical ways to navigate complex situations, honor your values and those of others, and become the kind of trusted advisor, colleague, and friend people consistently turn to and rely on.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming daily life faster than ever. But even as technology reshapes how we live and work, one constant remains clear: authentic human connections still determine your personal and professional success. While AI may power your devices, EI (emotional intelligence) fuels meaningful relationships and lasting opportunities.
In this dynamic presentation, you’ll discover the crucial balance between leveraging cutting-edge technology and nurturing genuine human connections. You’ll gain practical insights for harnessing digital tools without losing sight of the essential human qualities—like empathy, credibility, and trust—that AI can’t replicate. You’ll walk away ready to amplify your most valuable asset: your humanity.
More than just another soft skill, social fitness is an investment in your personal and professional development. It is a commitment to becoming more aware of your interactions, emotions, and the impact you have on others to build better relationships. In the workplace, socially fit individuals excel in team collaborations, leadership roles, and networking opportunities. They build lasting bonds with colleagues, clients, and mentors, and they navigate conflicts and difficult conversations to preserve and strengthen relationships.
This presentation will examine social fitness: what it is, how to exercise it, and ways to use it to build strong, career-enhancing connections.

Patrick spoke to the Undergraduate Honors students at Portland State's School of Business. He conducted a workshop entitled, "Networking for Fun & Profit". Patrick's workshop was entertaining and practical. He uses humorous stories to educate the students on the best practices in using networking and social media. The students and I were both impressed at how engaging and helpful the information was. It was filled with actions that students could start doing right away. I would highly recommend Patrick's workshop for students and professionals. Everyone will be able to take away a few things to starting doing right away.
