Jeffrey Liker Biography
Jeffrey K. Liker is Professor Emeritus of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan and president of Liker Lean Advisors, LLC. He is the author of the best-selling book "The Toyota Way, Second Edition" and has coauthored nine additional books on Toyota, including "The Toyota Way to Service Excellence," "Designing the Future," and "The Toyota Way to Lean Leadership." He also co-created the graphic novel "Lean in a High-Variability Business" with Eduardo Lander and Tom Root, which tells the story of lean transformation at a mail-order company.
Liker’s work has earned widespread recognition, including thirteen Shingo Prizes for Research Excellence. He has been inducted into the Association of Manufacturing Excellence Hall of Fame and the Shingo Academy, solidifying his reputation as a leading authority on lean management and organizational excellence.
