Keynote Speaker: Positive Psychology Expert & Thought Shifter

Tina Hallis, Ph.D. Biography

Tina Hallis, PhD, is a thought shifter, speaker, and founder of The Positive Edge. She is certified in Positive Psychology through the WholeBeing Institute, trained in Positive Intelligence, experienced with Internal Family Systems, trained in DISC personality theory, and author of "Sharpen Your Positive Edge: Shifting Your Thoughts for More Positivity & Success."

For almost 20 years, she worked as a scientist in biotech, immersed in data and facts—until discovering positive psychology in 2011. This science of thriving transformed her life, and she began studying, teaching, and living its principles.

Life then brought a new chapter. Working with cancer patients using a metabolic healing approach, Hallis saw how deeply our thoughts and emotions influence our health and outcomes. Positive psychology was powerful—but sometimes, it wasn’t enough.

She explored several modalities—until she found a game-changer: Internal Family Systems (IFS). This framework offered a whole new lens to understand our inner world, reactions, and patterns, unlocking profound self-awareness and transformation.

Today, Hallis takes her talks on resilience, collaboration, and workplace culture to the next level by weaving in the deep insights from IFS. With engaging stories, interactive reflections, and actionable tools, she helps audiences shift their internal experience to create a bigger external impact. Now, everything gets easier—teamwork, leadership, productivity, and life itself.

Inner Alignment for Outer Impact: The Next Frontier in Transforming Human Dynamics at Work

We all have parts within us – internal voices that want to control, protect, avoid, or react. When these parts clash or go unrecognized, they influence how we handle stress, communication, and relationships—often without our awareness. But when we learn to lead from our centered, compassionate True Self, we shift from internal chaos to clarity—and from reactive behavior to thoughtful cooperation.

This session introduces a groundbreaking approach rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based model that reveals how our “inner world” of competing voices and protective instincts shapes the way we lead, communicate, and collaborate. You’ll learn how working with your internal “parts” instead of against them unlocks a new level of self-leadership—and sets the foundation for healthier teams and more conscious workplaces.

These same principles extend to our external interactions with colleagues and teams, providing a shared language that fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation. Now everything gets easier!

Through impactful stories, real-life examples, and group practices, Tina Hallis, Ph.D., will guide you on a surprising journey inward—showing how aligning with your True Self and seeing the True Self in others can transform workplace dynamics.

Learning objectives and outcomes:

  • Recognize internal parts, especially those that disrupt cooperation and trust
  • Practice unblending from reactive “parts” to shift internal and external tension
  • Learn the surprising approach that flips our frustrated parts to our best allies
  • Engage our True Self to foster calm, clear decision-making and interactions

Creating a Positive Performing Workplace: Using Positivity to Drive Your Bottom Line

Negativity hurts performance, productivity and profitability. This program focuses on two key factors that can shift a work culture towards more positivity: work environment and individual perspectives. Tina shares actionable strategies leaders can use to help employees (and themselves) develop a more positive perspective that leads to greater teamwork, engagement and resilience. The program includes discussion on creating a positive work environment that drives positive performance.

Understanding & Appreciating Our Differences: Optimizing Communication, Cooperation, & Connection

Have you noticed tension between certain team members in your department? This can be a common situation when our approach to problems, our values, and our beliefs differ. When we can understand that we all have our own perspective, shaped by different backgrounds and personalities, we can realize that these differences aren’t bad – but interesting and valuable. Learning how to broaden our perspective improves our ability to connect, collaborate, and communicate with the people around us. This program uses neuroscience and DiSC personality styles to help people understand their perspectives, and identify and adapt to the perspectives of others.

Building Your Immunity to People’s Negativity: Maximizing Teamwork & Customer Relations

Other people’s negativity, whether it’s from customers, coworkers or family members, can drain our energy and bring us down. Changing other people is hard, but we do have the power to change the situation by how we respond. This dynamic program uses Tina’s proprietary five-step “Immunity to Negativity Formula™” to show people how they can use simple tools to help them stay calm and choose to respond as their best self. This is a key skill we can build to optimize our customer service, teamwork, and relationships while enjoying less stress and frustration.

Finding Balance during Ambiguity & Uncertainty: Staying Positive when Things Get Tough

It’s natural to worry how upcoming changes in our organization will affect our work and lives. In fact, we’re wired to anticipate the worst possible outcome. This is an important part of our survival instinct. Yet, there are things we can do to shift our thinking and stay more positive despite the uncertainty. This interactive program uses The Path for Positivity™ framework as a foundation to help people experience less anxiety, a smoother transition, and higher productivity.
