Chris Bennett is a Silicon Valley-based entrepreneur and early childhood education advocate who co-founded Wonderschool, a nationwide technology company focused on expanding access to quality child care. Bennett holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Before founding Wonderschool, he worked in private equity and launched several startups, including Soldsie, a San Francisco-based platform for social media-based e-commerce.
After selling Soldsie, Bennett attended the TED conference in Vancouver, where he learned about the impact of high-quality early childhood education. He recognized the critical need for accessible early education in the United States and observed challenges faced by both families seeking child care and providers starting or sustaining programs. Drawing on his own experiences with in-home care, Bennett sought to leverage research and technology to improve child care experiences for children, families, and businesses.
