Towers' professional journey is informed by his experience living with bipolar 1 disorder and attention deficit disorder. After a court-ordered visit to a psychiatrist, he identified the root causes of his academic struggles, substance use, and personal and professional challenges as untreated mental illness. Through treatment and participation in a male accountability group, Towers achieved sobriety and stability. He holds an associate and bachelor's degree, graduating magna cum laude, and is a certified mental health and addiction counselor as well as a mental health first aid instructor.
Towers uses his expertise in mental health and chemical dependency counseling to support individuals seeking to improve their lives.
