Jordan Klepper Biography
Jordan Klepper's journey in the world of comedy and satire started with his association with The Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade. His career took a significant turn when he debuted as a correspondent on "The Daily Show" in 2014. His wit and unique style of humor soon earned him his own show on Comedy Central, "The Opposition with Jordan Klepper," which aired from 2017 to 2018. Following the end of "The Opposition," Comedy Central ordered a new weekly series starring Klepper in 2018.
"Klepper," the docuseries launched in 2019, added a new dimension to Klepper's repertoire. In the same year, he returned to "The Daily Show" as a contributor and rotating host, appearing in a segment called "Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse." His versatility extended beyond comedy when he voiced Pete McGee in the Disney Channel animated series "The Ghost and Molly McGee" in 2021. He also co-hosted a podcast with former Ohio Governor John Kasich called "Kasich & Klepper."
Klepper's contributions to comedy and political commentary have been acknowledged by the industry. In 2018, he was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Talk Show Episode for "The Opposition with Jordan Klepper." In 2022, his writing on "The Daily Show" earned him an Emmy Award nomination.
