She secured her first major film role as the Greek goddess Aphrodite in "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" and appeared as a futuristic siren in "TRON: Legacy."
Swan's television career includes starring as Erica Reed in the A&E drama "Breakout Kings," where she played a former bounty hunter working with escaped convicts to track fugitives. She later took on the role of DEA Special Agent Paige Arkin in the USA Network action drama "Graceland," a series that ran for three seasons and established her as a lead in procedural television. Additional credits include a recurring role in HBO's "Ballers," a portrayal of Anne Bancroft in the FX miniseries "Feud: Bette and Joan," and a lead role as Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans, in Marvel's "Inhumans" for ABC.

In film, Swan played a young Elizabeth Taylor in the war drama "Devotion," which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Outside of acting, Swan is a human rights activist and entrepreneur.
