Daryl Hannah Biography
Daryl Hannah, an American actress and environmental activist, made her film debut in "The Fury" in 1978 and has been active in her career ever since. Her acting prowess is evident in her roles in high-profile films such as Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner" in 1982, "Splash" in 1984, and "Steel Magnolias" in 1989. Hannah also gained recognition for her performance as Elle Driver in "Kill Bill: Vol. 2", for which she won a Saturn Award in 2005. Furthermore, she starred in the Netflix series "Sense8" as Angelica Turing from 2015 until its conclusion in 2018.
Apart from acting, Hannah has also showcased her talent in directing and producing. In 2018, she released "Paradox," a film she wrote and produced, featuring musician Neil Young. Seven years later in 2025, she directed the documentary film "Coastal," exploring Neil Young's Coastal concert tour. Hannah's diverse roles in the film industry, from acting to directing, have given her a comprehensive understanding of the field, making her a well-rounded figure in Hollywood.
Aside from her contributions to the film industry, Hannah is also recognized for her environmental activism. Involved in numerous environmental campaigns, she has notably protested against projects like the Keystone XL pipeline and participated in protests against urban farm destruction in Los Angeles and mountaintop removal in West Virginia. Her dedication to environmental causes has led to her arrest on multiple occasions.
