Susan Sarandon Biography
Susan Sarandon is an Academy Award-winning actress known for her emotionally layered performances and intellectual screen presence. Emerging during the New Hollywood era of the 1970s, Sarandon built a career defined by both mainstream success and independent film credibility. She first gained widespread attention in the cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," before earning critical acclaim with her performance in "Atlantic City," which marked her first Academy Award nomination and signaled her transition into dramatic roles.
