Massimo Bottura is an influential chef recognized for transforming Italian cuisine and shaping global culinary trends. Bottura is known for respecting Italian culinary traditions while reinterpreting them through modern presentation and innovative techniques. He developed his culinary foundation through regional Italian cooking and classical French training, including experience with Alain Ducasse at Le Louis XV in Monte Carlo and a summer at elBulli with Ferran Adrià, which encouraged his experimental approach to cuisine.
Bottura is chef and owner of Osteria Francescana in Modena, which has earned three Michelin stars and a green Michelin star. The restaurant has been ranked among the top restaurants in the world, including first place in The World's 50 Best Restaurants.
