Keynote Speaker: Fortune 500 Board Director & Leadership Speaker; Author of "Uncommon Leadership"

Keith R. Wyche Biography

Keith R. Wyche is a veteran Fortune 500 executive, board director, author, and sought-after corporate leadership keynote speaker whose career spans more than four decades at some of America's most iconic companies, including AT&T, IBM, Pitney Bowes, CUB Foods/ACME Markets, and Walmart.

Wyche held senior leadership roles at AT&T and IBM before serving as President of US Operations for Pitney Bowes. He was later recruited by SuperValu to lead two major retail banners, first as President of Cub Foods and then as President of ACME Markets, delivering turnarounds at both. In 2015, Wyche joined Walmart, where he played a hands-on role in transforming the company's grocery operations and its shift from brick-and-mortar retail to an omni-channel, e-commerce business. Later in his tenure, he served as Vice President of Community Engagement and Support, helping Walmart reimagine how it shows up in the communities it serves. He retired from Walmart in 2024.

Wyche currently serves as an Independent Director on the boards of Brink's and Internet Sciences, Inc. He previously served on the board of WMS Industries, now part of Light & Wonder.

Wyche is the bestselling author of several books, most recently "Uncommon Leadership: A Blueprint for Restoring Integrity, Trust, and People-Centered Leadership," a call to return to principled, human-centered leadership grounded in his own four decades of experience.

Keith R. Wyche Speaking Topics

The Power of Uncommon Leadership

In a time when public trust in leaders is eroding across business, government, faith institutions, and nonprofits, Uncommon Leadership offers a timely and necessary corrective. Drawing on decades of executive experience inside Fortune 500 boardrooms and leadership roles at organizations including IBM, Pitney Bowes, CUB Foods/ACME Markets, and Walmart, Keith R. Wyche delivers a bold call for leaders to return to integrity, stewardship, and people-centered performance.

In this keynote, Keith draws on real stories from the front lines of leadership failure and renewal, including his own, to diagnose how ego, broken incentives, and short-term thinking have hollowed out trust in our institutions, then offers a practical blueprint for rebuilding it.

AUDIENCES LEARN HOW TO:

  • Simplify vision to cut through noise and lead without losing people's confidence.
  • Treat listening as a discipline and lead through people instead of around them.
  • Lead with clarity and conviction without losing compassion.
  • Build cultures where accountability and humanity coexist.
  • Measure success not just by outcomes, but by who they help others become.

AUDIENCES WILL LEAVE WITH:

A clear framework for restoring trust and accountability, practical habits that distinguish long-term builders from headline chasers, and a renewed sense of purpose for what leadership is actually for, and the legacy it should leave behind.

FORMAT RECOMMENDATION: To encourage greater engagement, Keith recommends adding a Q&A session, or a fireside chat conversation, to help audiences further embrace these insights."

Navigating Your Career: Keys to Climbing to the Top

How to Leverage your Performance, Exposure, and Brand

For years in corporate America, working your way up the ladder meant following a process. The process typically meant working hard, keeping your head down, and hoping that those in charge would recognize and promote you. In today’s reality, the ladder has been replaced by a lattice, or better yet a maze. There is no longer a linear path from the classroom to the boardroom, leaving many young professionals unsure how to navigate this new reality.

In this session, Keith R. Wyche explains the importance of public perceptions, personal branding, visibility, networking, mentoring, developing a long-term career plan, and identifying potential career killers.

Key Takeaways;

  • Understanding your company’s culture, and how others perceive you, shapes your career trajectory as much as your performance does.
  • Visibility is non-negotiable; leaders can’t promote talent they don’t see, so proactively build relationships with decision-makers.
  • Stay intellectually curious and results-driven, building the executive-level skills, communication, problem-solving, and execution, that senior roles demand.
  • A clear long-term career plan, backed by strong mentors and sponsors, is what turns effort into advancement.

FORMAT RECOMMENDATION: To encourage greater engagement, Keith recommends adding a Q&A session, or a fireside chat conversation, to help audiences further embrace these insights.
