Karlyn Borysenko Biography
Karlyn Borysenko was a Democrat for 20 years who never questioned her ideology and then she accidentally “red pilled” when social justice invaded her knitting community. Borysenko wrote an article about being a Democrat who went to a Trump rally that went viral and got over 4 million views on Medium. It has since been scrubbed from Medium because Borysenko was later banned from the site for saying that “pedophilia is bad.” Borysenko teaches unwokeness with reserved nuance and without outrage or tribalism.
Borysenko has immersed herself in the ideology of the woke progressive left. Borysenko watched thousands of hours of their training programs, more than almost anyone on the planet. Her goal is not to understand the academic and philosophical underpinnings, but rather to understand how they show up in the real world. Borysenko wants to know how they think, and what their language means. Borysenko wrote a book about it called “Actively Unwoke: The Ultimate Guide for Fighting Back Against the Woke Insanity In Your Life.”
Borysenko doesn’t consider herself a journalist, but rather someone who performs acts of journalism when real journalists refuse to do their job. Borysenko broke the Coke “Be Less White” training, one of the largest unwoke stories of all time.
Borysenko is an industrial/organizational psychologist by trade, and has created corporate training programs for adults for more than a decade with her practice Zen Workplace.

American Library Association President Caught Saying Public Libraries Should be Leftist
At a conference on socialism this Labor Day weekend, American Library Association (ALA) President Emily Drabinski expressed her desire to make libraries and schools fronts for “socialist organizing.” Drabinski, who describes herself as a “Marxist lesbian,” was elected president of the ALA in April of 2022. The ALA is a nearly 150-year-old library organization with a membership of around 50,000. Her unapologetic advocacy for far-left politics has caused several states to break ties with the organization. Psychologist Karlyn Borysenko recounted her experience going undercover at Socialism 2023 on her Substack, “Actively Unwoke.” She described the event as “the largest socialist conference in the country.” Drabinski “was initially scheduled to be a speaker” there, Borysenko wrote, “but after a media firestorm over her Marxist leanings that led to several state library associations parting ways with the national organization, her session was quietly canceled.”
