John Maclean Biography
John MacLean is a celebrated Australian athlete, motivational speaker, and author, whose life took a transformative turn following a catastrophic accident in 1988 that left him a paraplegic. Despite the severe physical and emotional challenges, John made a name for himself by achieving what many believed impossible. He was the first wheelchair athlete to complete the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon in 1995 and went on to conquer multiple extreme sports, including swimming the English Channel and competing in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. His resilience and strength have also led him to medal in rowing at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.
