Hal Adler is a certified executive coach, mindfulness expert, and founder of Leadership Landing, an executive coaching, team coaching, and 360 assessment firm focused on leadership development and organizational transformation. Adler has worked with leaders and organizations to cultivate awareness, authenticity, and impact across a range of industries, serving companies with employee counts from 100 to 250,000.
Prior to founding Leadership Landing, Adler served as president of Great Place to Work Institute, a global research and consulting firm recognized for its workplace recognition program, the annual FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For. After his tenure at the Institute, Adler conducted research into the core principles of effective leadership, identifying five key characteristics—self-awareness, bravery, kindness, innovation, and inspiration—that form the foundation of Leadership Landing’s mindfulness-driven coaching practice. His approach integrates mindfulness, employee feedback, and executive coaching to help leaders address and overcome barriers to workplace transformation.
Adler’s perspective on leadership is shaped by his multidisciplinary background. As a musician and composer, he incorporates creativity, deep listening, and collaboration into his work with executives. Adler holds an undergraduate degree in music from SUNY Purchase and has completed graduate studies at Boston Conservatory in music theory and conducting. He also has professional training in Buddhist psychology and advanced meditation, and is a certified coach for the Zenger Folkman Extraordinary Leader 360 Assessment. This diverse foundation informs Adler’s guidance for executives and organizations seeking meaningful, lasting change.
Adler is the creator of the Telluride Leadership Summit, an event designed to foster leadership development through immersive experiences.
