Dr. Dale Whelehan is a behavior scientist with a diverse range of experience comprising human capital, culture, change management, workforce experience, performance consulting, organizational behaviour, and representation and rights.
Having originally trained as a physiotherapist, Whelehan completed a PhD exploring the impact of fatigue and sleep deprivation in healthcare workers, particularly surgeons, and has published extensively in this field. More recently, Whelehan was a senior human capital consultant for Deloitte Ireland where he specialized in behavioral science implementation to enable large scale organizational change.
Considered an expert in the field of wellbeing, Whelehan is passionate about the intrinsic role work plays in fatigue and performance -- and how shorter working hours can bring about radical transformation for people's health and happiness. A two-time TEDx speaker, he was named to both Forbes' 30 Under 30 - Social Innovation and TIME100 Most Influential in Health lists in 2024 and his company, 4 Day Week Global, was recognized as one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies.
