Troy Vincent

Troy Vincent, Sr. serves as executive vice president of football operations at the National Football League, overseeing divisions such as business strategy and development, officiating, game operations, policy and compliance, football communications and marketing, player community, and player engagement. Vincent is responsible for initiatives supporting the full lifecycle of players and the game, from youth development to NFL Legends. As a non-voting member of the Competition Committee, Vincent develops programs for players, coaches, and football executives. Initiatives under his leadership include the NFL Legends Community, NFL Way to Play, and The Rookie Success Program. He has led programs focused on wellness and mental health, suicide prevention, stigma change, and domestic violence and sexual assault prevention. Vincent collaborates with clubs, players, and legends on social justice initiatives nationwide and serves as co-chair of the Vision28 group, leading efforts to establish flag football as an Olympic sport.

Drawing on his experience as a former NFL player, past president of the NFL Players Association, and former senior vice president of player engagement at the NFL, Vincent sets standards for the sport and its societal impact. He began his 15-year professional football career as a first-round draft pick, earning five Pro Bowl selections, three All-Pro honors, Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2002. Vincent has been nominated for the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame, State of Pennsylvania Hall of Fame, University of Wisconsin Hall of Fame, Pennsbury High School Hall of Fame, and Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

Before joining the NFL’s front office, Vincent served as president of the NFL Players Association, where he played a key role in negotiating and implementing three Collective Bargaining Agreement extensions. He is an advocate against domestic violence and sexual assault, promoting the message of Leadership Over Violence and advancing related policies and initiatives. For his advocacy, Vincent received the Womanspace Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award.

Vincent serves on the boards of the Love Thy Neighbor Foundation, Roundabout Theatre Company, Ross Initiative for Sports Equality, American Football Coaches Association, and Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation. He is the only player to have received the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, Sporting News Good Guy Award, and NFL Players Association Byron Whizzer White Award. Additional honors include the National Jefferson Award for Public Service, Black College Football Hall of Fame Founders Award, Council of Urban Professionals Breakthrough Leadership Award, and Jesse Banks Foundation Humanitarian Award. He has served on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition and the U.S. Commission on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys. Vincent has been recognized by Savoy Magazine as one of the Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America and by Sports Business Journal as a power player in sports technology.

Vincent continues to be a prominent voice on player safety, diversity, and inclusion in football, representing the NFL at major industry events and public forums and advocating for positive change within the sport.
