Paulina Porizkova, a multi-faceted personality, established her career as a model before branching out into the realms of acting, authorship, and reality television. Her modeling career took off when she became the first Central European woman to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1984. This achievement was a testament to her prowess in the field. Besides modeling, Porizkova also made a significant contribution to the film industry. Her film debut was in Anna, 1987, and she has since appeared in various films including Her Alibi, Arizona Dream, Thursday, and Dark Asylum.
Porizkova's versatility is further proven by her stint as a judge on "America's Next Top Model" starting from Cycle 10. She also showcased her dance skills on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2007. As a testament to her acting prowess, Porizkova landed roles on the CBS Daytime soap opera "As the World Turns" in 2009 and 2010. Moreover, she has made guest appearances in TV series such as "Desperate Housewives," "Jane by Design," and "The Mysteries of Laura."
