Jean was misdiagnosed as a young child with a form of Cerebral Palsy. After 33 years of countless doctor’s visits, medical procedures, unnecessary medications and surgeries, she was correctly diagnosed with Dopa Responsive Dystonia (DRD) and given a new life!
Jean has been featured on the Today Show, Good Housekeeping and the UK’s Daily Mail, changing the lives of others with her journey from Wheels to Heels. It’s no surprise that she has been awarded Distinguished Alumni of the Year, 2021 from her Alma Mater, Winona State University; as well as Chapter Member of the Year 2022 by the National Speakers Association, Minnesota Chapter.
