Each talk I create is customized to the needs of the organization, drawing on my lived experience navigating chronic illness, autism and ADHD across academia, nonprofits, government, consulting, and corporate environments. The aim is to provide pathways to wellness that honors the lived experience of the individual and helps to forge and organizational culture of collective care.
Key elements include:
Hustle, Flow, or Let It Go: A Guide to Shame-Free Wellness That Honors Your Reality and Gives You Life" is designed as a companion resource for sustainability and ongoing implementation. The book addresses all areas of wellness, offering inclusive strategies that honor each person's identity and lived experiences.
This talk is geared towards organizations and leaders and considers intersectionality as a lens through which to explore our unique wellness needs, e.g. BIPOC and Neurodivergence. It addresses the importance of cultural humility and safety within cultures, from self-compassion at the individual level to psychological safety at the team and organizational level. This talk is customized on the basis of whether I am addressing leadership, staff, or a combination thereof.
As a professional navigating late-diagnosis of AuDHD (Autism and ADHD), Dr. Portia Jackson Preston draws on her own experience to offer this especially resonant talk for organizations who are eager to have speakers directly discuss challenges their workforce is struggling with, such as how to meet the needs of neurodivergent workers, acknowledge mental health of those you supervise who are navigating anxiety, depression, and other issues. This has helped organizations find a starting point for safe conversation, using my story in order to protect the privacy of their workers.
"This book is a lifeline for anyone juggling endless expectations. It's a powerful call to stop surviving for others and start thriving for yourself—authentically and without guilt. A must-read."

"This book serves as a roadmap to a better life. As a licensed clinical social worker who is also neurodivergent, I firmly believe that understanding how to make the world more ADHD/Autistic friendly is not only beneficial for neurodivergent individuals but for everyone, regardless of life stage."

"Dr. Portia Preston emboldens keynote attendees to live lovingly, care for themselves gently, and feel emotions fully. We experienced a range of emotional focal points leading to the conclusion that doing less is actually doing more—doing more for ourselves, doing more for others, doing more for our community. That doing less gives us grace to practice self-care and community care in ways we have not been able to do nor, until now, been given permission to do. Dr. Preston is a subject matter expert that takes her profound passion and expertise to the next level, sharing and spinning a web of wisdom that, when we reach the ultimate strand, we take a step back and wonder at the beauty of the message we have received and been gifted. Truly, I have met a person I will cherish for my lifetime."
