Dr. Nick Fuhrman, known affectionately by his students and TV viewers as "Ranger Nick," is a nationally known expert in teaching methods. He is a Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Georgia and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in forestry from Virginia Tech and a Ph.D. in environmental education from the University of Florida.
