Research shows, and Emily Jamea's bestselling book explores, how five qualities -- Sensuality, Curiosity, Adaptability, Vulnerability, and Attunement -- are keys to sustaining emotional and sexual intimacy that stands the test of time. She has interviewed dozens of highly satisfied couples about what keeps the emotional and sexual components of their relationship strong, and it was these five themes that emerged. Her research participants explained how they stayed connected with each of these components despite life’s ups and downs and even through major health concerns. What she found particularly encouraging about these qualities is that they already exist within us.
We are born as sensual, curious, adaptable, and vulnerable beings, and we are hardwired to attune to one another. Despite our best efforts, we often succumb to social conditioning, the influence of culture and religion, and the impact of negative experiences, which threaten to strip us away from these inherent traits. This workshop is therefore not about becoming someone you’re not; it is about reconnecting with qualities that already exist within you.
Participants will be able to:
A “flow state” describes the state of mind we enter when we are so fully engaged with an activity that we experience total absorption, rapt attention, a sense of unity and merger, and dilution of time. Think of a surfer who describes feeling “at one” with the wave or a group of musicians who seem to effortlessly play music that isn’t planned. "Flow state" is a decades old term and has primarily been studied in the arts and athletics. Until now.
Emily Jamea initiated a first-of-its-kind study examining the relationship between "flow state" and great sex. She found that the most sexually satisfied couples experience a "flow state" when they make love. What’s more, being able to enter a "flow state" predicted great sex. Her findings completely transformed the way she treats her clients. Armed with new tools to enhance pleasure, satisfaction, and desire, she will teach workshop participants how to:

It also sheds light on deeper unmet needs based on specific complaints about one’s partner’s work. This information is presented against the backdrop of sociocultural and gender specific messaging about work.

We’re living in a time where a swipe, a like, or a message can spark connection—or confusion—in an instant.
