He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of IAC. He was employed at Styleclick.com, Inc. He served as an Executive Vice President of Operations and Strategic planning at IAC from July 2000 to January 2002. He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of IAC. He served as an Executive Vice President of Operations and Strategic planning served as the President of USA Networks Interactive, a division of IAC from August 1999 to July 2000, where he oversaw management, operations, and strategic planning of the interactive services division. He worked at Allen & Company LLC from 1991 to 1998 and served as its Vice President from 1995 to 1998. He has been a Director of Expedia Inc., since August 9, 2005 and Hotels.com since May 1999. He serves as a Director of BET.com., Hotels.com and several private companies. He has been Director of The New York Times Company since May 6, 2015. He served as a Director of ARTISTdirect Inc. since March 2000, HSN, Inc., and Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc. He served as a Director of eLong Inc., since June 10, 2011 until June 2015. He served as a Director of Styleclick, Inc. He served as a Director of TripAdvisor Inc, Inc. until February 7, 2013. Mr. Khosrowshahi received a B.S. in Bioelectrical Engineering from Brown University and BA in Engineering in 1991.
On August 27, 2017, it was announced that Dara would be offered the job as the next CEO of Uber. If he accepts, he will succeed founder Travis Kalanick.
