Daniel Lubetzky is a serial social entrepreneur known for ABC's "Shark Tank". He founded KIND Healthy Snacks in 2004 with the mission of making the world a little kinder, one snack and act at a time.
The son of a Holocaust survivor, Lubetzky strives to empower moderates to take action to counter extremism, antisemitism, and all forms of hate. Working to build bridges between people, Lubetzky conceived Starts With Us, a non-partisan movement working to overcome cultural extremism by fostering curiosity, compassion and courage as daily habits. He is also the founder of PeaceWorks Inc., a business that fosters cooperative ventures among neighbors in the Middle East, and the OneVoice Movement, an international grassroots effort that amplifies the voices of moderate Israelis and Palestinians seeking to end the conflict. Through camino partners, Lubetzky partners with entrepreneurs to co-found, launch and build new ventures together -- and to take meaningful positions in entrepreneur-led ventures building through the next stages of growth.
Fluent in Spanish, English, Hebrew and French, Lubetzky has lectured at several universities, as well as at the World Economic Forum, the World Bank, and the United Nations. A member of the Anti-Defamation League’s Board of Directors, he has received The King Center’s Beloved Community Award, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, Columbia Business School’s Botwinick Prize, Carnegie Corporation’s Great Immigrants Award, the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award for Civility and Compassion and awards from the World Economic Forum, Skoll Foundation, Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and Horatio Alger Association. He is the author of The New York Times bestseller "Do the KIND Thing" and an investor on ABC's "Shark Tank".
Lubetzky holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from Trinity University and a JD from Stanford Law School. He is a proud US citizen, who emigrated from Mexico at age sixteen.
