Chris Powell is an American personal trainer, television host, and author recognized in the fitness and weight loss industry. Powell is known as the trainer and transformation specialist on ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition," a television series that highlighted dramatic weight loss journeys. He gained national attention for his work with David Smith, who lost 401 pounds in 26 months, a transformation featured in the TLC documentary "650-Pound Virgin," where Powell served as Smith's trainer.
