Dr. Betsy Grunch is a board certified neurosurgeon who practices in Gainesville, Georgia. She performs all neurosurgical procedures, specializing in spine procedures (scoliosis, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal fusion and disc replacements surgery) and neurotrauma.
She received her bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Georgia, and then went to medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Following that, she matched in neurological surgery at Duke University where she completed her internship in 2008. She trained in neurological surgery at Duke University and graduated in 2013. At Duke, she earned the Synthes Spine Fellowship from 2010-2011.
Dr. Grunch's takes pride in her job, while also utilizing social media to show a more light-hearted side. She uses her YouTube channel, "Ladyspinedoc" for medical education of her specialty. She lives with her husband, Ray, their two children, Riley and Beatrice, and their two dogs, Pancake and Butters, in Gainesville, Georgia. She joined Longstreet Clinic Neurosurgery in August 2013 and is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
