Ashton Kutcher Biography
Ashton Kutcher is an actor, model, producer, investor and entrepreneur who is best known for his roles in "That 70’s Show" and "Two and a Half Men." He has been nominated for and won several Teen Choice and MTV awards. Before "Two and a Half Men," Kutcher developed, produced, and hosted "Punk’d" on MTV. He was part of the first wave of social media with the first account on Twitter to reach 1 million followers.
Kutcher was discovered in 1996 when he won an Iowa modeling competition. Afterwards, he moved to New York City, signed with modeling agency Next Management, and began to appear in several commercials and shows around the world.
Shortly after, Kutcher was cast in "That 70’s Show" as Michael Kelso alongside Mila Kunias. Kutcher honed his comedy skills in this role, leading him to book several comedy films including "Dude, Where’s My Car?," "Just Married," and "Guess Who." In addition, he created, produced, and hosted the reality show "Punk’d," which aired for a successful five seasons on MTV, and starred in the hit series "Two and a Half Men," one of CBS’s highest rated shows. Despite his knack for comedy, Kutcher also succeeded in more dramatic roles, including Evan Treborn in "The Butterfly Effect" and Steve Jobs in the biographical drama "Jobs."
More recently, Kutcher starred alongside Sam Elliott and Dax Shepard in Netflix's sitcom "The Ranch," which ran for four seasons. Upcoming projects include the thriller "Vengeance" with Issa Rae and Dove Cameron, directed by B.J. Novak and produced by Jason Blum; the Netflix romantic comedy "Your Place or Mine" opposite Reese Witherspoon; and "The Masters of Mini Golf," set to stream on HBO Max.
Kutcher is not only a successful actor but also a respected entrepreneur and investor. He serves as the Chairman of the Board for A Plus, a multi-media company focused on positive journalism and is on the board of capital investing firm Sound Ventures.
