Tristan Harris Biography
Tristan Harris is a technology ethicist known for his work on the ethical impact of technology on society. Harris spent three years as a Google design ethicist, developing frameworks for how technology should ethically influence the thoughts and actions of billions of users. His background includes early experience as a magician and work in Stanford's Persuasive Technology Lab, where he became concerned about the need for ethical and humane technology. While at Stanford, Harris founded Apture, a service that enabled blogs and news sites to surface additional information over their articles. Google later acquired Apture, bringing Harris into the company.
