Kirsten Wolberg is a technology and operations executive with more than two decades of experience in fintech and enterprise software. Wolberg has led major operating change at scale, focusing on technology, information security, and digital transformation within the fintech and software industries. Her expertise includes driving innovation, establishing structure and process for growth, and delivering value in complex business environments.
As chief technology and operations officer at DocuSign, Wolberg oversaw all business operations functions for technology, including strategic planning and investment, IT, cybersecurity, data science and governance, privacy, compliance, and end-to-end program management for strategic enterprise initiatives.
Prior to DocuSign, Wolberg held several roles at PayPal, including vice president of technology and separation executive, where she led the PayPal separation program during the eBay/PayPal tax-free split. She also served as chief information officer at Salesforce.com, and earlier in her career, led corporate technology, offshore development, and technology education and leadership development at Charles Schwab. This experience across leading technology companies has provided Wolberg with a comprehensive perspective on how technology enables business transformation at scale.
Wolberg has spoken about navigating personal adversity throughout her career. When her husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer while she was pregnant, she took time off to care for her family. Upon returning to work, she interviewed for a technology position with Charles Schwab, which solidified her path in the technology sector. Her openness about these experiences has resonated with audiences facing their own professional challenges.
Wolberg has been recognized as a Computerworld Premier 100 Technology Leaders Master of Disruption and as an IT Rising Star. She has also been named one of the Most Influential Women in Business in the Bay Area by San Francisco Business Times and was named Enterprise CIO of the Year at the Orbie Awards. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
