John Price Biography
John Price is a veteran of Latin America market consulting and one of the leading public speakers and thought leaders in the region. Since 1993, Price has advised more than 50 of the global 1000 firms on their business strategies and market intelligence needs in Latin America. Price’s consulting career began in Mexico where he founded InfoAmericas, which by 2003 became the largest independent market intelligence firm in Latin America. The firm was sold in 2007 to Kroll, the world’s largest corporate investigations firm and Price launched Kroll’s first market intelligence practice. In 2011, Price left Kroll and co-founded Americas Market Intelligence, now with offices in Miami, Mexico City, São Paulo and San Francisco.
Over the course of supervising close to 1,200 client engagements in Latin America, Price has launched several of the firm’s industry practices including: Payments, Logistics, Natural Resources and Industrial products & services. He continues to advise clients in more than 20 industries across Latin America, providing a level of strategic input on projects that few in the region can match.
Price has published over 100 articles on the Latin American business climate maintains a column in the region’s largest circulated English language magazine, Latin Trade. In 2007, John Price co-wrote and co-edited “Can Latin America Compete?”, which was published by Palgrave. Price teaches as an adjunct professor at Florida International University. He is fluent in Spanish and English and delivers presentations in both languages at over 25 seminars and conferences per year.
Price and his family are active supporters of two important Latin American charities, Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, a LatAm orphanage network, and TECHO, a novel initiative to build simple but solid homes in Latin American slums that transform lives.
