Jim Nantz Biography
Jim Nantz is a celebrated sports broadcaster, best known for his work with CBS. Since 1989, Nantz has anchored CBS's coverage of the Masters Tournament, and since 2004, he has been the play-by-play announcer for CBS's top NFL games. In 2011, he founded the Nantz National Alzheimer Center at Methodist Hospital in Houston, focusing on Alzheimer's research, particularly the vascular and concussion-related factors that contribute to dementia.
A graduate of the University of Houston, where he played on the golf team and honed his broadcasting skills, Nantz has maintained close ties with his alma mater, receiving an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in 2001. His career continues to be marked by excellence in sports broadcasting, while his advocacy for Alzheimer's awareness remains a deeply personal mission.
