Jeremy Allen White is an actor who is widely recognized for his portrayal of Phillip "Lip" Gallagher in the Showtime comedy-drama series "Shameless" from 2011 to 2021 and as chef Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto in the Hulu comedy-drama series "The Bear" since 2022. To prepare for his role as a chef in "The Bear," White took courses at a culinary school. His performance in this series earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2023, 2024, and 2025, three Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy in 2022, 2023, and 2024, a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series in 2022 and 2023, and a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2022 and 2023.
In addition to his television roles, White has also been featured in a number of films, including "Afterschool," "Bad Turn Worse," "After Everything," "The Rental," "Fremont," and "The Iron Claw." He's also set to showcase his musical talents by doing his own singing in the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic "Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere."
