Nicole Kidman is an actress and producer whose career has spanned over four decades. Kidman began her acting career in Australian film and television in the early 1980s with films including "Bush Christmas" and "BMX Bandits." She gained international attention with her role in the thriller "Dead Calm" and her breakout performance in "Days of Thunder."
Her career escalated throughout the 1990s and 2000s, with a series of critically acclaimed performances, including her roles in films like "To Die For," for which she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, "Batman Forever," and "Moulin Rouge!." In 2002, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of writer Virginia Woolf in "The Hours." Kidman continued to impress with her performances in films such as "The Others," "Cold Mountain," "The Golden Compass," and "The Paperboy." More recent projects of Kidman's include "A Family Affair," "The Perfect Couple," and "Babygirl," for which she received a Golden Globe nomination.
Kidman's recent ventures into television have been highly successful, starring in and producing the HBO series "Big Little Lies," for which she won both a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She also starred in acclaimed series like "The Undoing" and "Nine Perfect Strangers."
