Erin Konheim Mandras Biography
Erin Konheim Mandras is a mom of three boys, married to a wonderful husband, Jon, and resides in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a currently an inspirational speaker and blogger at kickthescale.com where she focuses on eating disorders, body image, and exercise, particularly in athletes. She shares her personal journey of developing and battling a significant eating disorder as a college athlete, and then overcoming it.
Konheim Mandras’s writings have appeared on several national websites, including Kveller.com. Born and raised in West Bloomfield, Michigan, she played college soccer at Michigan State University. Immediately following her collegiate career, she played semi-professional women’s soccer. She then pursued college coaching, in which she has six years of experience. She began her career at her alma mater, MSU, and then moved on to Towson University and Loyola University Maryland before choosing to be at home full-time with her children. Konheim Mandras was inducted into the 2014 Michigan Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, and was be the recipient of the 2017 Nell C. Jackson Outstanding Alumna Award; an award given to a varsity Spartan alumnus whose career and personal accomplishments since graduating from Michigan State University exemplify a profound commitment to professional achievement and community service.
