Dr. Tracey Gendron is an award-winning gerontologist, author, and keynote speaker whose work focuses on ageism, aging, and elderhood, as well as the impact of societal narratives about age on leadership, innovation, and culture. She is an internationally recognized gerontologist with almost 30 years of experience as a grant-funded researcher. She is the author of "Ageism Unmasked: Exploring Age Bias and How to End It" and speaks to audiences globally about the real-world impact of age bias. Dr. Gendron is a Professor and serves as chair of the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Gerontology and as director of the Virginia Center on Aging. She has a master’s degree in Gerontology, a master’s degree in Psychology, and a PhD in Developmental Psychology.
