Dr. Caroline Leaf Biography
Dr. Caroline Leaf is a communication pathologist, audiologist, and clinical and research neuroscientist whose work has influenced the understanding of the relationship between the mind and the brain. With a Bachelor of Science in logopaedics and advanced degrees in communication pathology, specializing in psychoneurobiology and metacognitive neuropsychology, Leaf has spent more than four decades in mind-brain research. She was among the first in her field to study neuroplasticity, conducting research that demonstrated how the brain can change with directed mind input. Her early work addressed traumatic brain injury, learning disabilities, cognitive decline related to neurological disorders, and trauma.
During her clinical practice, Leaf developed the Geodesic Information Processing theory, which explores how people think, and created tools and processes for patients with conditions such as traumatic brain injury, autism, anxiety, depression, and dementia. She is the author of 18 books translated into 24 languages, including "Switch On Your Brain," "Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess," "Think, Learn, Succeed," "The Perfect You," and "Think and Eat Yourself Smart." Her Neurocycle formula, a five-step method for transforming thought and emotion, has been developed into an app and a certification program for clinicians.
Leaf hosts the podcast "Cleaning Up the Mental Mess." Her YouTube channel, podcast episodes, and television appearances have reached a global audience. She has presented at platforms including TEDx, The Doctors, Mindvalley, and Google, and has been featured in publications such as The O Magazine, Elle, Huffington Post, and Thrive Global.
