Diane Hoskins Biography
As Global Co-Chair of Gensler, Diane Hoskins, FAIA, NCARB, focuses on visionary leadership, growth, design excellence and cross-disciplinary innovation. A hands-on leader, she oversees Gensler’s global platform and its day-to-day operations, with 6,000+ people networked across 56 offices, serving more than 3,500 clients in over 100 countries.
Hoskins founded the Gensler Research Institute to study the intersection of design and performance in order to drive new innovations in workplace design, sustainability, planning and human health. She brings forward the positive impact that design can have in our day-to-day lives through "Design for a Radically Changing World," a book co-authored with fellow Gensler Co-Chair Andy Cohen, published in 2024. Hoskins was named to Business Insider’s 100 Creators list alongside Cohen in 2016. She has also received an Outstanding Impact Award from the Council of Real Estate Women and is both a Regent of the American Architectural Foundation and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
A design leader with a global perspective, Hoskins was a featured speaker at the United Nation’s Habitat Assembly in Nairobi and Climate Action Summit in New York. She has also spoken at the United Nations Climate Change Conference for three consecutive years. Her thought leadership and insights have been featured in Bloomberg, CNN, Fast Company, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Hoskins graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and holds an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles Anderson School of Management. She also serves as Global Chair of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Board of Directors of Boston Properties and a trustee of The MIT Corporation.
