For over 24 years, Ben Strahan has served as a Wildland Firefighter for the US Forest Service on what is recognized as a Hotshot Crew, renowned as the special forces of wildland firefighting, and esteemed as the finest Wildland Firefighters globally. His extensive tenure in this domain has afforded him invaluable opportunities to master risk mitigation and adeptly lead teams in the most daunting environments, where the preservation of life and property hangs in the balance. With a remarkable track record encompassing participation in nearly every significant wildfire across the western United States over the past two decades and more, Strahan has honed his leadership skills, guiding high-performance teams through extreme circumstances to achieve positive outcomes and safeguard lives and landscapes. Through his journey, he has acquired the ability to swiftly assemble teams and cultivate excellence regardless of the situation.
Moreover, Strahan is a survivor of suicide, having navigated through a harrowing attempt on his life in 2020. His personal journey of healing has bestowed upon him profound insights and a newfound perspective on life's intrinsic values. Drawing from this experience, he now endeavors to inspire others to embrace the essence of self-leadership and live their most fulfilling lives.
