Angela McGlowan is the founder and CEO of Political Strategies & Insights (PSI), a government affairs and public relations consulting firm based in Washington, DC and Oxford, Mississippi.
With a wealth of federal legislative, press-related, and corporate experience, she offers a fresh and unique perspective on the Washington political landscape.
Bestselling author of “BAMBOOZLED”, McGlowan is a seasoned news and talk professional who currently serves as a political analyst for the FOX News and FOX Business Channels in Washington D.C. and New York. A proven communicator able to connect with a wide range of audiences, McGlowan has made numerous appearances on BET (Black Entertainment Television) and on political shows, including: PBS’s To the Contrary (a show from a woman’s perspective), America’s Black Forum, This is America with Dennis Wholey, , and ABC’s Politically Incorrect.
A regular fixture in the national media, she has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, New York Post , Politico, The Washington Post, The Hill, Roll Call, , and Afro-American Newspaper for her dedication to political activism and her work in corporate diversity . In 2005, McGlowan was recognized for her excellence in journalism as the host of WNYW FOX 5 public affairs show, Good Day Street Talk and was the recipient of The Harlem Chamber of Commerce New York City’s Journalist of the Year Award.
The TEA Party recruited McGlowan to run for Congress in 2010, and though her bid was unsuccessful, she was the first black and female to run in the 1st Congressional District of Mississippi on a major party ticket. The Wall Street Journal named Angela the heroine of the national TEA Party Movement in 2010 for her dedication to promoting true, conservative change in Washington, DC.
Before creating PSI, McGlowan served as Director of Government Affairs and Diversity Development for Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, and as such was responsible for the development and implementation of aggressive diversity initiatives within Fox Entertainment Group. McGlowan also functioned as an advocate to Congress for federal legislative policies supportive of corporate objectives and growth.
McGlowan began her professional career as Director of Outreach for the Better America Foundation, an organization founded by former Senator Bob Dole. This organization was aimed at promoting community empowerment throughout the nation. Mrs. McGlowan established and implemented programs in preparation for Senator Dole’s Presidential bid.
