Alex Rose Biography
Alex Rose is a professional Track and Field athlete and Three-Time Olympian. He holds the Oceania Area record in the discus throw and has the furthest recorded discus throw from an American citizen, even though he chose to compete for his father's homeland, Samoa. Rose competed in his third Olympics in Paris.
Throughout his athletic career, Rose has worked full-time as a Technical Sales Engineer, on top of being a husband and father. He was the only athlete in his field to achieve the status of "World Finalist" and compete in the prestigious "Diamond League" while essentially competing in the discus as a hobby. His unique training situation and diverse skillset have separated him as a unique athlete and business professional, and he has used his wealth of knowledge to give motivational speeches to Michigan-based elementary/middle/high schools, athletic teams, and colleges throughout the state- including Indian Hill Elementary, Grand Valley State University, Dorr High School, East Grand Rapids High-School and others.

In this session I go through different experiences and lessons that I have learned throughout my life- sharing some key moments that I have experienced through photos and videos. I show the audience how I have handled adversity coming from multiple angles, and more importantly how I learned to appreciate the chaos.
