Trey Kennedy Biography
Trey Kennedy is a comedian, actor, singer, and digital creator recognized for his work in online comedy, particularly on YouTube and TikTok. Kennedy produces content across Christian comedy, sketch comedy, and observational comedy, often drawing on everyday experiences for material. While studying finance at Oklahoma State University, Kennedy began creating short humorous videos on his phone, which led to his rise on Vine, where he amassed more than 2.5 million followers and was a top creator for over three years. This experience sparked his interest in entertainment and digital content creation.
After earning an MBA from Oklahoma State University, Kennedy shifted his focus from a potential career in finance to content creation. He dedicated six months to filming and producing videos, ultimately building a following of more than 13 million across platforms. Kennedy is known for his comedic portrayals of mothers and parodies of middle school experiences. His video "Moms" garnered over 4.8 million views on Facebook, while another video about middle school students received more than 14 million views.
Kennedy expanded on his viral middle school content with the TV series "Middle School Maddox," where he satirizes middle school life. He has appeared in television shows such as "Middle School Maddox" and "Wild 'N Out." His self-produced comedy special "Are You For Real?" is available on YouTube, and the special "Grow Up" is featured on Hulu. Kennedy's live performances are characterized by clean observational humor, rapid character transitions, and musical segments.
Kennedy has extended his digital presence to nationwide comedy tours and co-hosts the podcast "Correct Opinions" with comedian Jake Triplett. The podcast has ranked in the top 100 for comedy podcasts in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Great Britain. Kennedy has also released the EP "Take Me to the River" and singles such as "Middle School Anthem" and "Thirsty Thursday." His children's book, "How You Got Your Name," draws inspiration from his viral video "Roll Call in 10 Years," which achieved 6 million views.
Kennedy approaches his career with an entrepreneurial perspective, leveraging his background in business to manage both creative and operational aspects of his work. He continues to balance content creation, children's literature, and live performances, focusing on producing relatable comedy and fostering audience engagement across digital media and live events.
