Tony Porter is the co-founder and CEO of A Call to Men, a national nonprofit working to promote healthy, respectful manhood and prevent violence against women, children, and marginalized communities. A widely respected educator, activist, and author, Porter has spent decades addressing the intersection of masculinity, violence, and equity. He is best known for his groundbreaking TED Talk, “A Call to Men,” which has reached millions of viewers worldwide and challenges the “man box” — rigid, harmful expectations of manhood that perpetuate sexism, racism, homophobia, and violence. Under his leadership, A Call to Men has partnered with schools, corporations, professional sports leagues, and the U.S. military to inspire men and boys to break free from these limiting norms and become allies in creating a more just and inclusive society.
