Richard Dean Anderson is recognized for "MacGyver," where he played the titular character, an inventive and nonviolent protagonist who led audiences through seven seasons on ABC. Anderson first gained national attention as Dr. Jeff Webber on "General Hospital," before transitioning to prime time television with roles in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "Emerald Point N.A.S."
