Nora Ali Biography
Nora Ali is the CEO and Co-Founder of Mason Media, a TV/film/audio production company and brand studio, which she co-founded alongside MLB all-star Alex Rodriguez and visionary entrepreneur Marc Lore. Ali has been a keynote speaker and moderator around the world – including in the UAE, Portugal, Canada, Bangladesh, and across the U.S. – on the topics of career pivoting and personal storytelling, business and technology news, media and entrepreneurship, creator economy, building inclusive workplaces, and others. As a child of Bangladeshi immigrants, Ali is passionate about elevating historically excluded voices and telling the stories of those who feel like “outsiders.”
Prior to building Mason Media, Ali covered technology and business news at Cheddar, anchoring daily from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, and was Host of the Business Casual podcast from Morning Brew. At Cheddar, she also created, produced, and hosted several specialty series, including “Fast Forward: Life After Covid-19” and “All Hands: Race Toward Inclusion.” Ali previously led teams of engineers and designers as a Senior Product Manager at Jet.com, which she joined prior to its launch and acquisition by Walmart for $3.3 billion.
Ali started her career on the trading floor at Goldman Sachs after graduating from Harvard with a bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Quantitative Finance, where she was also the Concertmaster of the Harvard Pops Orchestra. Ali is an award-winning violinist and pianist, having recently performed at Carnegie Hall. Ali is a proud Minnesotan now living in New York City for 13 years.
