Kat Dennings has been an active and pivotal part of the entertainment industry for over two decades. Dennings is widely recognized for her pivotal roles as Max Black in the CBS sitcom "2 Broke Girls," which aired from 2011 to 2017, and as Darcy Lewis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film and television franchise, beginning with "Thor" in 2011. Aside from her roles in sitcoms and superhero films, Dennings has showcased her versatility in a variety of films, including "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Big Momma's House 2," "Charlie Bartlett," "The House Bunny," "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," "Shorts," "Defendor," and "Suburban Gothic."
In addition to her on-screen roles, Dennings has also made her mark in the world of voice acting and production. She voiced Leah Birch in the series "Big Mouth" from 2017 to 2020 and also lent her voice to and produced the main role in "Dallas & Robo" in 2018. In 2019, Dennings took on the dual role of leading actor and executive producer in the Hulu comedy series "Dollface," a role she reprised until 2022. She stars in the ABC comedy "Shifting Gears."
Dennings' contributions to the industry have not gone unnoticed. She was nominated for the International Press Academy's Satellite Award for Best Actress for her role in "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist." In 2012, she won a Crystal Reel Award for Best Actress for "To Write Love on Her Arms." Among other nominations, Dennings was nominated for a Hollywood Critics Association TV Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Television Movie for "WandaVision" in 2021 and for Best Actress in a Streaming Series, Comedy for "Dollface" in 2022.
