Kala Allen Omeiza Biography
Kala Allen Omeiza empowers neurodivergent thinkers to thrive in the age of AI across companies and institutions. She has collaborated with many organizations, including Comcast, Google, AFRY, Syracuse University, and the University of Oxford to achieve these goals.
As the founder and CEO of I’m Heard, Inc., an organization advancing mental health and neurodiversity in underserved communities, and as a US Fulbright Scholar and Oxford-trained cognitive researcher, Omeiza has become a leading voice at the intersection of culture, mental health, and neurodiversity.
Omeiza has written four acclaimed books on culture, neurodiversity, and AI ethics. She was also named a finalist for Forbes 30 Under 30 for her novel strategy that raised funding for Nigeria’s first toll-free suicide hotline during her tenure as a Fulbright Scholar.
Omeiza previously served as a researcher at Duke University’s Brain Imaging and Analysis Center, at Harvard University and Harvard Medical School, where she contributed to groundbreaking studies on cognition, neurodiversity, and suicide prevention.
Omeiza is also an avid leader at her Pentecostal church, which serves over 1 million members worldwide, and frequently holds workshops and talks with both US and UK leadership and their congregants on topics such as mental health, neurodiversity, and disability inclusion. She combines insights from her research and books with her own testimony and grounded scriptures.
Omeiza holds degrees from the University of Oxford and Miami University, where she was also a Division I athlete. Her work continues to expand across sectors to ensure that the world is inclusive and accommodating for all of humanity.
