Jebeh Edmunds Biography
Jebeh Edmunds is the passionate founder and CEO of Jebeh Cultural Consulting Inc. As a proud first-generation Liberian American immigrant, Edmunds' personal journey has deeply influenced her professional path. Her experience of coming to the United States as a child and navigating the path to citizenship over nearly 30 years has fueled her lifelong passion for education and cultural advocacy.
Edmunds’ journey began as an educator with the Duluth Public Schools, culminating in her nomination as a Goldfine Gold Star Teacher in 2022. Her expertise in the classroom, combined with an eight-year tenure as the Director of the African American Cultural Center within the school district, has equipped her with an in-depth understanding of cultural competency and education.
As the host of the Cultural Curriculum Chat podcast and Mrs. Edmunds’ Cultural Corner on YouTube, she reaches a wide audience, promoting understanding and inclusivity. With a strong focus on training effective strategies in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, Edmunds has worked with numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations. Her role as the Director of Education with the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce underscores her proficiency in driving transformative change at organizational levels.
Edmunds' academic pursuits include a bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Minnesota Duluth, a post-bachelor's teaching certificate from the College of St. Scholastica, and a Master's of Science in Teaching from The College of St. Scholastica. Her tenure as an Adjunct Professor at The College of Saint Scholastica reflects her dedication to shaping future educators.
