Jane S. Foy Biography

Jane Foy's career in broadcasting began in Pittsburgh, PA at KDKA-TV where she was a news writer/editor. She then joined WPXI-TV in the Promotions/Public Relations department, producing station promotional spots and planning and executing all station special events. Her radio career began in Pittsburgh at WWSW where she was a morning show co-host and news anchor. She established college internship program with Duquesne University, the University of Pittsburgh and Point Park College. Jane also developed an etiquette lecture program for college students, focusing on the interview process. Foy also worked with non-profits to assist them in forming productive relations with the media. In 1994 she and her husband moved to Loudon County, VA where they opened a restaurant and Foy developed a television program for Loudon TV, "Loudon Showcase of Homes."

In 1997 Foy moved to Charlottesville, VA where she joined WINA radio as a news anchor and a co-host of the stations morning show program, where she worked until her retirement.

In 2019, she wrote, "The A to Z Guide for Caregivers of Dementia Patients". The book is her compilation of experiences caring for her husband who was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2013. Although her husband was admitted to a dementia care facility, Foy continues to be his advocate, and advocates for others caregivers facing similar challenges.
