Gabrielle Davis Biography
Gabrielle Davis is a former news journalist, turned lupus/patient advocate who uses her candid experiences of living with lupus, chronic illness and an invisible disease to spread awareness, with a passion to be a voice for underserved populations and educate the healthcare industry that make decisions directly impacting those underserved populations.
Diagnosed in 2009 as a 27-year-old newlywed, Davis’ passion for advocacy began through social media under Lupus Sistas, to connect, educate and empower the lupus community. Since then she has expanded her reach in providing lupus education, mental health awareness and among her community, nonprofits and within the healthcare industry. The ups and downs she has experienced in living with lupus is a story with a universal message – overcoming adversity through what life hands us and overcoming with a dogged mindset to move forward and triumph anyhow.
