Dr. Kristi Funk is a double board-certified breast cancer surgeon and lifestyle medicine physician, bestselling author, and international speaker. After graduating with distinction in psychology from Stanford University, Funk earned her medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine, completed a five-year general surgery residency in Seattle, and pursued a surgical breast fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she served as director of the breast center for seven years.
Funk founded the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Beverly Hills, which integrated advanced breast cancer screening, genetic testing, diagnosis, and surgical treatment with preventive strategies and holistic care. At the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Los Angeles, Funk specializes in minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment methods for various breast diseases. She has assisted thousands of women through breast cancer treatment, including public figures such as Angelina Jolie and Sheryl Crow. Funk's joint announcement with Jolie regarding preventive double mastectomy brought global attention to BRCA gene mutations, their link to breast and ovarian cancers, and the significance of genetic testing.
