Deja Foxx Biography
Deja Foxx is an activist, digital strategist, and political communicator who rose to national prominence as a teenage advocate for reproductive rights and youth political engagement. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Foxx grew up in a low-income household and experienced periods of housing instability, including living in subsidized housing and relying on public assistance. Her personal experiences shaped her commitment to advocating for marginalized communities, particularly young people affected by poverty and limited access to healthcare and education.
Foxx first gained widespread attention in 2017 while still a teenager when she challenged then–U.S. Senator Jeff Flake during a televised town hall about Planned Parenthood funding. Her pointed question about how politicians could deny reproductive healthcare to people like her quickly went viral, making her a recognizable voice in youth activism. She soon became a national surrogate for Planned Parenthood, speaking across the country about reproductive justice, youth political participation, and healthcare access.
Building on that visibility, Foxx transitioned into political communications and campaign work. She served as Influencer and Surrogate Strategist for Kamala Harris during Harris’s 2020 presidential campaign, helping the campaign reach younger and digital-native audiences.
